Right now, we’re looking for community-minded people who share our passion, values and dedication to join us at Anvil House, in Billericay Essex.

Your challenge? To provide our residents with a warm, enabling and openly supportive environment, coupled with the highest standards of professional day-to-day support that will help them enjoy more independence and a better quality of life. In return, we’ll give you plenty of support and guidance, a great working environment and a wide range of benefits.

The Weekend Support Worker vacancy will be working on a one 2 one bases with a service user based at our home is in a peaceful residential area of Billericay, Essex, close to the town centre. We provide services for adults with a learning disability and additional needs such as sensory impairment, and for those who sometimes express themselves through low levels of behaviour that can be challenging. But you wil recieve full training to allow you to interact in a caring and appropriate manner for yourself and the adult you will be looking after.

Relevant experience is welcomed, but not essential, as you’ll be given a Person-Centred Plan that covers everything from how to physically move someone to the best ways to be ‘inclusive’ in everything you do. And, because we appreciate that each resident is unique, we’ll show you the best way to communicate with them and encourage them to voice their own choices and needs too. We’ll even pay you to train and study for a Care Certificate or complete a NVQ2 qualification, if you so choose. All we ask is that you're willing to work shifts on a rota system.

We are looking to cover up to 24 hours every other Saturday and Sunday, working alternate weekends. There is some flexbility here and hours could be covered as part of a job share.
