Become a foster carer with one of the most progressive independent fostering agencies in the UK and help a child in your community. We are recruiting foster carers in the Hampshire and surrounding areas.

At Sunbeam Fostering Agency we have dedicated staff that will be on hand to support and guide new carers throughout the fostering process. Learn more about what is fostering, and if you have what it takes to foster a child.

Foster Carer requirements:
???A spare bedroom.
???An ability to reflect on life experiences and mature through them.
???An ability to see beyond children's behaviour and link it to past trauma where applicable.
???Empathy for and ability to nurture children traumatised by separation from birth families.
???Ability to work with a child's parents, Local Authority, Sunbeam and other professionals.

Desirable attributes:
???Abundance of physical and emotional stamina.
???Previous experience of fostering or close involvement with someone who has fostered.
???Experience of working with children in a paid/unpaid capacity.
???A commitment to attend training events and support groups.
???A willingness to support a child's/young person's attendance at therapy.
???The provision of transport for the young person when necessary.
???You will need to be available in the daytime if the child needs you.
???Availability for all meetings and training opportunities.
