The applicant will need to have an NVQ 3 or equivalent, and will have worked within a childrens residential home setting recently for a minimum of 6 months.
Seniors will need to lead shifts to ensure children attend all relevant activities, appointments, education, contact with family etc. They will need to be trained in handling medication and feel comfortable working with challenging behaviour to role model good practice to support staff. They will need to feel comfortable leading shifts and support staff to ensure a motivated, enthusiastic staff team for the well being of the children that live here.
Of course, they will be higly supported by management in this role with regular supervision and an opportunity to complete their NVQ4/5 if they wish to move up in future.
Shift patterns are likely to be - Early 7am - 3pm, Lates 2pm - 10pm and sleep ins 10pm - 7am.
