LOCATION: Lytham, Lancashire
JOB TITLE: Support Workers
SALARY & BENEFITS: Good rates of pay dependent on skills and previous experience
WORKING HOURS: Part Time & Full Time positions

THE ROLE: We need a Team of Support Workers to provide support and care to meet the needs of Zach and to ensure his physical, psychological and social wellbeing.

Zach is a 23 year old man who sustained a hypoxic brain injury aged 7 months. He requires support with all aspects of care and daily living and relies on others to access the local community. He will shortly be moving into a new property, in Lytham, Lancashire, and as a result he will require a complete care team. Zach will require support 24 hours a day, 7 days per week and full and part time hours are available. Candidates are expected to be able to work both day time and night time shifts. Good rates of pay are offered and the likely start date is late February / early March.

You will work with a team of Support Workers to provide support and care to meet client need and at all times to ensure their physical, psychological and social wellbeing. You will interact and provide companionship and friendship for Zach, assist with any personal care needs, accompany Zach on community outings and ensure the smooth running of the household whilst working effectively and closely with other Support Workers and agencies.


THE CANDIDATE: Due to various roles available, Support Workers of different levels are encouraged to apply. You must have as a minimum previous experience providing care or working in a care setting as a Support Worker. You must be a reliable and caring person who is able to commit to flexible working hours as you will be required to work a rota consisting of Days, Evenings & Nights. Previous experience working with Therapists or in a Rehabilitation setting are desirable as are Support Workers with relevant qualifications and a valid Driving Licence.

Most important is having working experience and, excellent communication skills, a great sense of humour, flexibility in your approach to care and a real desire to help people.

Essential Criteria :-

Must have working experience as Support Worker or in a Care setting
It is essential you are able to commit to working a rota consisting of evenings, weekends and nights
Must have good verbal an written communication skills
Good sense of humour, enthusiasm and caring nature is a must!

Desirable Criteria :-
Relevant qualifications in Health & Social Care
Valid driving licence and use of vehicle
Previous experience working with Therapists or in a Rehabilitation setting
