Support Worker
Livability is a national Christian disability and community engagement charity that delivers a variety of community projects, disability care services and training resources across the UK. We also share our expertise internationally. Our vision is of a transformed society where disabled and disadvantaged people can live life to the full. That’s why, since 1844, we’ve been campaigning, training and pioneering projects - services to help improve the wellbeing and social inclusion of disabled adults and children.

Right now, we’re looking for community-minded people who share our passion, values and dedication to join us at Bradbury Court in Harrow, northwest London, is a spacious, modern home which can accommodate up to 21 disabled adults.

Your challenge? To provide our residents with a warm, enabling and openly supportive environment, coupled with the highest standards of professional day-to-day support that will help them enjoy more independence and a better quality of life. In return, we’ll give you plenty of support and guidance, a great working environment and a wide range of benefits.

Role Requirements

Relevant experience is welcomed, but not essential, as you’ll be given a Person-Centred Plan that covers everything from how to physically move someone to the best ways to be ‘inclusive’ in everything you do. And, because we appreciate that each resident is unique, we’ll show you the best way to communicate with them and encourage them to voice their own choices and needs too.

We’ll even pay you to train and study for a Care Certificate or complete a NVQ2 qualification, if you so choose. All we ask is that you're willing to work shifts on a rota system.

If you’re a caring individual with a responsible attitude and a real commitment to helping other people reach their full potential and develop their independence, join us as a Support Worker.
