The Staff Nurse within the Paediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Unit will work as a skilled member of the nursing team, to provide a high standard of holistic family centred care to the children and families, to plan, assess, implement and evaluate programmes of care for individual child and ensure both child and family receive full information and support.
To communicate complex and sensitive information effectively to patients, carers and other staff and overcoming any barriers to understanding and providing support during distressing or emotional events. To develop and maintain clinical skills and knowledge necessary to provide holistic, evidence based nursing care, be competent in the administration of medication and ensure clinical practice is evidence based or peer reviewed "best practice".
You must have a valid NMC Pin and have experience on paediatric ward and Oncology.
