JOB TITLE: Residential Support Workers and Team Leaders

SALARY: Up to £24,000 per annum for full time staff dependent on role, qualifications and experience.

Hourly rate for Casual Staff of up to £9.10 dependent on qualifications and experience.

WORKING HOURS: Full time (37 hours per week) and Casual opportunities available

THE COMPANY: Our client is a forward looking and privately owned National Provider of Children's Services. They run a number of different care services across the UK and are currently recruiting for additional Team Leaders and Residential Support Workers to join their Residential services, which supports children and young people, with opportunities available in Coventry and Warwickshire surrounding areas.

Working as a Team Leader or Residential Support Worker you will be responsible for caring for the children and young people in all aspects of their home lives, and acting as an advocate for their needs.

Key Responsibilities of the Team Leader/Residential Support Workers roles to include:-
  • Actively safeguard and promote the welfare and development of the children/young people
  • Act as a positive role model for young people and promote structure, boundaries and routines within the home
  • Create a homely setting to which the child or young person can identify
  • Undertake the role of a key worker
  • Work in line with care and placement plans
  • Provide and participate in leisure activities
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, other agencies, children/young people and families
  • Have awareness and take shared responsibility for the health and safety of the home.
  • Team Leaders will also assist the management of the home in developing the skills and potential of the Residential Support Workers.
THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidates will be caring, approachable and compassionate by nature with excellent communication skills. You will be passionate and committed to helping young people develop in a reassuring 'family' environment.

Candidates applying for the Team Leader position will be expected to hold a Level 3 qualification and have 2 years previous experience.

Previous experience or level 3 qualification is not essential for the Residential Support Workers as full training will be provided, but would be preferable.

Key criteria essential for Residential Support Worker role:
  • Able to commute to either Coventry or Warwickshire
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring check.
Key criteria essential for Team Leader role:
  • Level 3 qualification
  • 2 years previous sector experience.
