About Us:
Ecclesbourne Lodge is home for people with complex difficulties and challenges that require specialised 'person centred' support in a caring yet productive environment. Residents are able to learn practical life skills and take part in a range of community and home based activities, enabling their progress and transition towards a more independent life.
The Role:
We are looking for patient and understanding staff to support our service users within the residential setting and in accessing the community and local activities i.e shopping, swimming as much as possible. You will assist service users with all aspects of their personal care and development and promote choice and independence at every opportunity.
It would be beneficial for applicants to have some experience of working with young or vulnerable people within the home or work setting, however if you are highly motivated and have the drive and passion required for the role we would like to hear from you. A relevant qualification is desirable but not essential as full support in achieving this will be given.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have the following:
- A willingness to work shifts that include some evenings and weekends
- Good values and a caring nature
- A valid current driving licence
- An ability to identify and undertake any training necessary to develop within the role
- A natural respect for the dignity and individuality of residents.
