Local Care Force are currently recruiting for permanent Residential Care Workers to work in an outstanding registered residential school for children and young people with autism and complex learning disabilities. The service is absolutely beautiful, state of the art with hi tech multisensory rooms. The service provides both residential and educational support to children and young adults up to the age of 25 yrs usually on a 121 basis due to the complex nature of the needs of most of the students.

The main purpose of your role is to support the person you key work with daily living and independence. You will provide daily support and guidance outside of the classroom setting, support with mobility and personal care, arrange leisure activities, communication and a stable daily routine.
My client is looking to recruit caring people with over 12 months experience within the care sector, ideally working with people with autism or challenging behaviour. Extensive training will be given as will an thorough induction. The role is to work 37.50hours per week, a mixture of Earlie's (7.30am-3.30pm), lates 3-10pm and split shifts. No nights are involved at all.
