JOB TITLE: Practice Nurse
SALARY & BENEFITS: Negotiable dependant on skills and experiences
WORKING HOURS: Full Time or 2 x Part Time - Dependant on candidates
THE COMPANY: Our client aims to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare to the residents of Methley, Airedale and Castleford. They run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and we offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.
THE ROLE: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Nurse to join a very successful and busy practice. The current team consists of 29 Administration staff, 9 GP's, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 5 Practice Nurses and 3 Health Care Assistants. You will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of local and national policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:-
Long term condition management (Asthma - COPD)
Diabetes management - (Dependant on candidate)
Family Planning
Managing infection control
Cytology
Vaccinations and immunisations
*Please note this is not an extensive list of your potential day to day duties*
THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate/s for this position will be forward thinking and have a minimum of 2 years experience working within a GP practice. You will be a hard-working and resilient individual with a caring and friendly demeanour. You will be flexible, reliable and an excellent team player.
Key skills and experience:-
Previous experience either in a General Practice (essential)
Registered nurse with current NMC registration (essential)
Diploma or equivalent in Asthma, COPD & Cytology (essential)
Diploma or equivalent in Diabetes (desirable)
Full driving licence with access to a car (essential)
System one trained (advantageous)
Good communication skills
