Giving out medication, to supporting someone find independence through new technology. Join us and help us change lives.

As an Hft Support Worker, you'll be supporting adults with learning disabilities to live the best life possible.

Hft is a national charity that's been supporting people with learning disabilities since 1962. We put the people we support at the centre of everything we do and use our experience to work in partnership with them to provide personalised services to more than 2500 people.

There's no such thing as a "typical day" for one of our Support Workers. You could be supporting someone with personal care in the morning, go swimming or to a local cafe in the afternoon - or even helping them plan their birthday party or a family event.

Sometimes it's challenging, but it's always rewarding. You'll go to work knowing that you're making a positive difference to someone's life. You'll be working in a team of skilled, dedicated colleagues committed to doing the same and they will support you along the way.

This is a really rewarding role supporting a male resident on a 1:1 basis. You will have the chance to help him to look after his home, support him during activities in the community and ensuring that he lives a fulfilling life.

Benefits
We offer a full range of attractive benefits including 28 days' annual leave, pension, life assurance, staff recognition and rewards, refer a friend scheme, discounted monthly mobile phone contracts, discounted meals out, childcare vouchers, family-friendly policies and a confidential employee helpline.

About the role
As an Hft Support Worker you'll be supporting adults with learning disabilities within your community. In these roles, everything you do will enable people to have choices about their own lives, creating flexible services that meet people's needs and always looking for the best way of doing things.

About you
You don't need experience of support work or any special qualifications for this job; what matters most is your positive attitude to life and your desire to support people to live their own life with as much independence, choice, dignity and control as possible.

What Hft can offer you
It's helpful if you already have experience of dementia, autism and learning disabilities - but this is by no means essential as Hft will give you a comprehensive induction, full training and support. With Investors in People and Skills for Care accreditation we are committed to investing in our teams to ensure that they have the specialist skills and expertise needed to support people with the most complex needs to live the best life possible.

We provide 24/7 support to people, so this role will require you to work shifts and hours that include some weekends, nights and Bank Holidays. You may also get the opportunity to accompany the people we support on holidays and attend training courses and other activities.

Join Hft and help us to change lives.
