The Night Sister Co-Ordinator will provide a high standard of clinical care to all patients in the hospital throughout the night. They will also offer operational and clinical management and guidance to junior staff in the absence of the night manager or coordinator.

To provide leadership and direction in the nightly management of the hospital, while working in collaboration with other heads of department (nursing and non-nursing) in the provision of a customer - focused quality service. To line manage the Night Coordinator and Night Charge Nurse team. To provide clinical support and clinical supervision to the Night Coordinator team, Night Sisters team and newly appointed RMO's.

Duties and Responsibilities
???To ensure the development and maintenance of quality nursing care and services, identifying and acting upon any shortfalls.
???To monitor and evaluate, against agreed standards, the provision of safe and knowledgeable clinical practice.
???To provide managerial and clinical support to all nursing areas, undertaking an appropriate expanded clinical role, within professional codes of conduct and practice.
???To act as site manager, and co-ordinate out-of-hours services, admissions and staffing requirements.
???To demonstrate a commitment to achieving departmental and organisational objectives.
???Procure out of-hours medicines from pharmacy with the RMO.
???As an ALS provider, undertake a team leader role if necessary in the resuscitation team for both hospitals.

Skills and Experience
???Registered Nurse Level 1
???ENB 998
???ALS Provider
???Dip. Nursing/Management
???Experience of working at Sister level
???Acute Adult Areas i.e., ICU, PCU
???Acute care background
???Expanded clinical practice e.g. Defibrillation, Skills cannulation, electro cardiology venopuncture

The successful candidate will be a role model and have the ability to lead the team ensuring both excellent clinical standards and customer care skills are of the highest standard. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal will be key to the success of this role. The successful applicant will also have a passion for customer service and a desire to provide an exceptional patient experience.
