HEALTHCARE ASSISTANTS REQUIRED - £15,100 - £15,600 PER ANNUM - THATCHAM, NEWBURY - EXCELLENT CAREER PROGRESSION
White Knight Recruitment are working in partnership with one of the biggest providers of mental healthcare in the UK who are looking to recruit a number of health care assistants to join their facility in Thatcham, Newbury.
You will be joining their team at the mental health hospital based in Thatcham on a permanent, full time basis. There are over 100 residents in the facility, spread across low and medium security wards and rehabilitation flats.
Our client looks after the most vulnerable members of society who require sensitive therapeutic intervention, and offer treatment for a variety of disorders such as personality disorders, mental illnesses, complex care needs, sexual offending, deliberate self harming and those detained under the Mental Health Act 1983.
Healthcare Assistants are vital to the efficient and effective running of our many hospital services. Working alongside qualified healthcare professionals - typically nurses and doctors - you will provide patients with comprehensive care ranging from washing and dressing to monitoring their condition by taking temperatures and weight. These roles can be tremendously varied. Depending on your location, you could have the opportunity to work across multiple specialist service areas, from eating disorders through to the care of young people or adults with complex needs.
Healthcare Assistants should have a minimum of 3 months experience in the healthcare industry, ideally within Learning Disabilities, mental health or challenging behaviour. You will be required to assist residents with personal care, so some experience in a care or residential home environment would also be beneficial.
In return, healthcare assistants will be paid a very competitive salary of between £15,100 - £15,600 per annum, and have access to a range of benefits, such as 25 holidays per year and discount schemes.
