~~~~Field Care Supervisor
Salary: £16,640 per year
A Field Care Supervisor is the critical link between the customer and our Care service.
You will use your skills of analysis to turn each customer’s requirements into a bespoke homecare service that exceeds their expectations.
If you enjoy inspiring your team and providing the very best homecare and support to customers, then this exciting opportunity could be exactly what you are looking for.
As each customer is unique, every day will be different. Our priority is to support customers to live the lives that they choose while keeping them in control as far as they are able.
You must have a good understanding of what people in need of homecare and support require, and of best practice in providing social care.
Field Care Supervisors will be expected to have, or to be working towards, a level 3 QCF (qualifications credit framework NVQ).
As a Field Care Supervisor you will be responsible for setting up a person centred care plan for each customer and making sure we deliver what we promise. This involves visiting new customers, and where they wish it, their families, to create a tailored care and support plan. Together with the Care Coordinator you will allocate a care assistant with the right skills, knowledge and personal attributes to match the customer’s requirements. Excellent communication skills are key to this vital role.
You must be able to build trusting relationships with customers, their families, staff and other professionals such as district nurses, GPs and occupational therapists.
The Field Supervisor has responsibility for taking new care workers through the induction process and providing on-going support and guidance, training and supervision.
You will often find yourself in the role of assessor, mentor, coach and trainer. You need to be compassionate, self-assured and possess the knowledge and ability to model good practice whilst being prepared to challenge poor performance.
You will regularly monitor the quality of service that your team of care workers provide and take action to make improvements if necessary. It is essential that you must be able to work to a fixed 3 week shift pattern (average 40 hours per week) which includes unsociable hours and weekend working (currently one weekend in three) as well as have use of your own transport as you will be required to travel between customers’ homes.
This is a challenging role and as a representative of the Care brand you can be proud of being part of a strong supportive team, championing the rights of our customers.
Salary: £16,640.00 /year
