Domiciliary Carer

Job responsibilities:

Providing personal care and support to service users with a wide range of needs, illnesses and disabilities

• Understanding the care and support the service user needs
• Undertaking the tasks detailed in the service user’s care and support plan using a person centred approach
• Encouraging the independence and motivation of the service user
• Assisting service users with their daily routine
• Preparing food and drink for the service user
• Using manual handling equipment safely and correctly
• Maintain good communication and develop effective working relationships with service users
• Providing companionship to the service user
• Ensuring the living environment for the service user is safe

Evening and weekend work is also required.
