Children's Senior Residential Support Worker

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our client in Middleton on a full time permanent basis. You will be joining a small 4 bedded all boys residential home

We are working with a leading independent social care provider who has an excellent reputation for providing high quality tailored care and support for young people living within residential settings.
As a Team leader, you will:

• Be a key member of the team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our young people.
•  ensure the care and welfare of each child and provide guidance and support to all RSWs
• You will be responsible for staff supervisions, leading shifts, ensuring placement plans are followed, policies, procedures, risk assessments and rotas.
• You will play a key role in promoting education, social inclusion and independent living skills.
• Other duties will include sleeping in / shift work, including evenings and weekends on a rota system and providing on call support including evenings and weekends on a rota system.

In order to be successful in this position, it is essential that candidates hold:

• an NVQ Level 3 or a Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People
• Previous senior level experience working in a children’s residential home
• Due to the nature of this role, a full UK driving licence is essential.

Salary: £18,750 - £20,500 basic + £3000 with sleep ins Full time, permanent
