Job title: Care Worker
Salary: £7.50 + bonus and incentive schemes for length of service, absence and no complaints. Free uniform and Refer-A-Friend scheme. Learning and training opportunities and support with getting NVQ's in Health and Social Care
Working hours: Full-time/part-time/bank available
Location: Wakefield and surrounding towns (Ossett, Castleford, Normanton, Pontefract, Knottingley)

We are delighted to be working on behalf of a care provider who delivers adult opportunities, supported living units and support and enablement in the community for a variety of support needs. As a Care Worker with our client you will be covering Wakefield and the surrounding areas, key duties and responsibilities to include:
To understand, adopt and to live the organisations values
To understand and follow the policies and procedures of Alternative Care Limited
To support individuals with physical disabilities, learning disabilities & difficulties, brain injuries and mental health
To work with individuals in supported living, support and enablement and adult opportunities
To demonstrate care , compassion , adaptability , respect and empowerment in the approach to caring for vulnerable people
To provide personal care and to teach life skills, including supporting individuals to take part in a range of activities including; arts and crafts, drama, gardening, shopping trips and social occasions
To treat service users with the dignity and respect that they have a right to expect from you
To take part in a programme of continuous training and development and take ownership and responsibility for your contribution agreement and progress review (supervision)

We are looking for a caring individual who is compassionate about providing care and support to vulnerable people, key attributes as follows;
Someone who understands that everyone is different and who makes sure people who use our service have a choice in their care,
A person who can demonstrate organisational skills,
A team player but also able to work on own initiative, maintaining a positive attitude,
A self-motivated and flexible individual who is dedicated to the people who depend on our service,
Someone with the ability to provide emotional and social support by putting yourself in the position of others,
Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and listening abilities,
Excellent attendance and punctuality record,
Commitment to providing a high standard of quality care.
Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle
