JOB TITLE: Full & Part time Care Givers / Support Workers
SALARY & BENEFITS: From £8 - £9 per hour with £100 per sleep in
WORKING HOURS: Part Time & Full Time - flexible
THE COMPANY: Our client is a well established and highly respected independent UK home care provider, they are part of a worldwide organisation devoted to providing the highest-quality care for a range of residents in the comfort of their own homes. They offer a wide range of one-to-one services tailor made to the needs of the individual in the Central Bedfordshire area.
THE ROLE: Our client is looking for friendly and reliable Care Givers / Support Workers to assist their clients, so that they can live life as full and independently as they wish within their own homes. Most clients require regular visits for a few hours a week in and around the Luton, Hitchin, Leighton Buzzard and other surrounding areas of Central Bedfordshire where you will be responsible for attending clients to offer companionship, friendship and assist with a wide range of household and day to day care needs.
Key Responsibilities for the Care Givers / Support Worker's role in Luton, Central Bedfordshire and surrounding areas :
- Building relationships with clients and reducing isolation
- Support with general housework to help maintain a safe and suitable living environment
- Support with daily living tasks such as shopping and socialising, meal preparation and medication prompts
- Enable clients to stay independent in their own home.
- Providing personal care, which could include bathing, toileting, dressing and feeding
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Care Givers / Support Worker's role must be a reliable and naturally empathetic person who takes pride in helping others. You should be someone who can build a good rapport and relationships with people and must be sensitive to the needs of others. This role will require you to visit clients in Luton and the Central Bedfordshire area so you must have a valid UK Driving Licence with own vehicle or the ability to work and travel within these areas.
Previous experience working as Home Carer, Care Worker, Health Care Assistant, Support Worker, Nurses, Social Care Worker, Care Assistant, Mental Health Care Worker, Voluntary Worker are all desirable but not essential as full training will be given. If successful you will also be paired with a mentor so will receive great support during your training period.
