Our Assistant Managers share their time between working on the floor, including assessing and supervising staff; and having supernumerary office time, when they support the Home Manager in the administrative tasks. The Assistant Manager is expected to deputise for the Home Manager in their absence through holidays, training or sick leave, taking full responsiblity for the Home at these times, and to share with the Manager the out of hours on call duties, but supported at all times by senior managers.
We are looking for someone who has a wide range of knowledge and experience in the care of older people and who seeks to progress their skills. The successful candidate will preferably be trained to NVQ/Diploma in HSC at Level 3, although applicants with the right knowlege and experience will be considered if they are prepared to attain this or other qualifications and already hold a full driving licence.
Hours of work are 40 per week, including alternate weekend working, and all our staff are expected to be flexible when required to meet the needs of the Home.
