Part Time Home Support Worker

Many of our Clients are ageing or dealing with injury or disability, and not quite ready for full-time supported care.  They may be just needing a bit of help until they get their strength back to do normal tasks for themselves, or they may need ongoing assistance.  They may have temporarily or permanently lost the ability to drive.  Whatever their circumstances, they need help with the basics to enable them to continue to live independently at home.  

As every situation is unique to the person involved, we tailor-make our packages to suit individual requirements.  Whether it's help with routine household tasks like shopping, moving furniture around, organising home repairs, preparing meals, ensuring mail gets posted, and all sorts of other tasks, we provide the support to meet specific requirements.  While personal care is not a part of what we provide, we offer services such as shopping, laundry, changing beds, attending to a variety of other household tasks, support to get to health, beauty and leisure appointments, and other services, as required.

In order to apply, Applicants need to have a current DBS check, and recent, checkable work and character references. They need to be pet lovers too (since many of our Clients have pets to care for), and have a genuine interest in human and animal welfare. They will ideally be comfortable with doing some cleaning on the job where required, and need to have a reliable vehicle, be willing to drive to different locations to work, and have a genuine desire to help maintain both the quality of life and the dignity of our Clients.
